The Monkey House Nursery School is a nursery in Basingstoke. We are just a short drive from Basingstoke off the A30 in the lovely rural village of Mapledurwell. We are situated in the Village hall where we offer sessions for children from 2 years old. We are proud to have provided quality childcare since 1996 and are constantly improving our way to give the children the best childcare possible.

We cook lunch with the children every Thursday which we all eat together afterwards. We enjoy lots of outdoor play in the playground in our own little monkey house. We love taking educational forest walks and explore all living things in the surrounding forest and fields. We like getting messy and creative making arts and crafts and once a week we have a French teacher visiting us.

The Monkey House Nursery School provides a place where pre-school children of all abilities are encouraged to develop enquiring minds, through the use of physical, intellectual and social activities in a friendly, happy and controlled environment.

We believe that it is important to have a balance between structured activities and independent play, to ensure that children obtain the skills required for life long learning.
